Science Code Slam 2021
December 20, 2021
A center-wide Science Code Slam marked the end of the year at ML2R. The scientists of the Competence Center worked virtually in topic groups on a variety of questions related to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML) and Deep Learning. The ML2R team demonstrated: Even in times of pandemic-related contact reduction, forward-looking AI research in the Rhine and Ruhr region is being driven forward collaboratively and actively.
For some, the end of 2021 feels strangely familiar. And while contact reduction and the increased consideration for the health of our fellow citizens is a recurring imperative at the turn of the year, the ML2R team once again ventured together to “think outside of the box”.
The Science Code Slam offers employees of the four ML2R locations TU Dortmund University, University of Bonn, Fraunhofer IAIS and Fraunhofer IML the opportunity for in-depth thematic project work. In virtual sessions, the researchers thus strengthen cross-location cooperation and scientific collaboration. Are you curious? The following picture gallery gives insights into the projects of the Science Code Slam.
The ML2R team wishes you a pleasant holiday season and a healthy start into the new year 2022! Our tip for the holidays – the editorial team of the ML2R-Blog has put together a list of the most popular articles of 2021 for you: Holiday reading list (in German). We hope you enjoy the reading!
