ML2R-Symposium on Quantum Machine Learning
May 06, 2021
ML2R hosted a symposium on Quantum Machine Learning on May 5. In addition to ML2R researchers, experts from the Fraunhofer Institute for Industrial Mathematics ITWM and the German Aerospace Center (DLR) attended the virtual event. The participants presented their latest research concerning Machine Learning (ML) on quantum computers and collectively discussed the research results. In the course of the consultations, the attendees thus provided important impulses for future research on Quantum Machine Learning. The Competence Center ML2R would like to thank the guests Dr. Tobias Stollenwerk (DLR), Dr. Achim Baser (DLR), and Dr. Raoul Heese (Fraunhofer ITWM) for an exciting exchange.
In the research focus ML on Quantum Computers, ML2R scientists conduct research using state-of-the-art quantum processors. They develop ML algorithms and solutions that use quantum bits (qubits) and circuit depth of quantum computers in a manner that is resource-efficient and provide practical results in the presence of noise.
