Science Code Slam concludes 2020 at ML2R

Joint coding, programming and writing: The ML2R’s Science Year 2020 concluded with a center-wide Science Code Slam. The employees of the Competence Center came together in groups and jointly worked on various tasks related to Machine Learning (ML) and Artificial Intelligence (AI). The ML2R looks back on an extraordinary and exciting year.

Many will remember this year for its novel changes to everyday life: Keeping one’s distance, observing hygiene measures and wearing an everyday mask. For the employees of the Competence Center ML2R, 2020 also brought about changes and relocated work to the comfort of one’s own home. ML2R will remember 2020 for the resilience of its team and the many great successes it resulted in: exciting research projects, lectures and digital events, a global summer school and the publication of the first ML2R activity report. The ML2R looks back on an extraordinary and successful year.

The Competence Center concluded the Science Year 2020 with a Science Code Slam. In self-organized thematic groups, the ML2R team virtually came together across locations and dedicated themselves to the further development of current and future projects within a lively exchange.
